Its very important when choosing an existing shopping cart solution that the backend administration empowers our clients business processes. At Funke we do quite a few Ubercart implementations and one thing that the client is always interested in is "What data/metrics does ubercart record and what existing reports does it produce?".
Here is the short answer:
Reports
- Cart link tracking: Shows metrics for number of clicks for a Cart.
- Customer reports: Shows a list of customers, how many orders they've submitted, and how much money they've spent on the website.
- Product reports: Show total times a product has been sold, how many times a product has been viewed online and more.
- Sales reports: Show total sales figures, average sales per month and more.
Data Views
Ubercart has a number of views available allowing the user to filter data quickly including:
- View Orders: The main order screen shows each order, the customer who submitted the order, the order total, the current order status and the date the order was submitted. Orders can be filtered by Order ID, or by an order status (e.g. Payment Received, Processing, Completed)
- Search Orders: Search for a particular order by the Billing/Shipping customer name or a date range.
- View Customers: The main customer screen shows all customers and their name, email address and their city.
- Search Customers: Search for customers by their name or email address.
Be sure to check out this great resource on the ubercart website, it provides more detail including screenshots of several of the reports & views available.
