A full-time opportunity has become available for a Mid Level PHP Web developer to join our funky team immediately. This opportunity would suit an individual looking to take ownership of the technical development at Funke. Salary will be considered based on skills, knowledge and experience.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, assist and develop solutions from system architecture to deployment based on supplied briefs and functional specifications
- Provide estimates for project timeframes
- Deliver solutions within agreed timeframes
- Test, review and debug
- Performance Tuning Code and Database queries
- Provide day-to-day maintenance support for websites
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with team and clients
The applicant will have the opportunity to experience and contribute on the end to end processes in a projects lifecycle – from pre-sales, to architecture, coding, testing, support and ongoing maintenance.
The ideal applicant must have:
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal (English)
- A minimum of 3 years industry experience
- CMS Development Experience using Drupal (Including Module development)
- Experience in the web development process
- Experience setting up, configuring and performance tuning a LAMP environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Displays Initiative & Innovation
- Ability to work independently and to deadlines
- Excellent problem solving skills
- An understanding of advanced OO principles
- Strong Database design skills (using normalisation techniques)
- Ability to write advanced SQL queries & database normalisation
- Experience using a Versioning System such as CVS or SVN
- An understanding of W3C valid HTML/XHTML markup
- Linux Server Administration (Ubuntu, CentOS)
- Experience with BASH scripting
It is highly advantageous if you have:
- Completed a university degree or TAFE equivalent relevant to Web development
- CMS Development Experience with ExpressionEngine and Wordpress
- Experience with MVC Frameworks particularly CakePHP
- Solid JavaScript Skills and framework knowledge e.g. jQuery
- Windows Server Administration
